Innovation at SO BAG: new polypropylene cutting shapes and new possibilities for cutting various materials and technical fabrics

Industrial innovation is one of SO BAG's pillars. That is why Nicolas CHEVALIER has decided to invest in new high precision cutting equipment.

For many years, a laser has proved its effectiveness in cutting materials such as cardboard, wood, metal, plastic and textiles. Now it is also used and perfectly adapted for polypropylene cutting. 
Film cutting is a precise, fast and very flexible operation. Thanks to this, it is possible to obtain multiple cutting shapes and to develop new solutions for big bags manufactured at SO BAG's facility in Blanzy (Burgundy).

The newly installed device is characterised by its large working surface (width up to 1800 mm). Moreover, it is equipped with a conveyor system allowing automatic laser treatment directly from a roll of material.
Finally, it also has a printer that enables printing on the fabric.

Thanks to this machine, SO BAG can stretch the boundaries of its creativity in order to design and manufacture the products of tomorrow.
In addition to the multiple shapes that can be cut from propylene, the device also opens up an array of possibilities for cutting various materials, films and technical textiles.

Therefore, simultaneously with its design and manufacture of big bags, SO BAG can offer as well its laser cutting services.
